Do you need a guide ? I would say yes you would definitely need a guide. One guide per 6 persons is recommended. The advantage of having guide would be you would see the demo of climbing hardware, static ropes and general canyoning techniques. So, even if you are new, the presence of guide would give you mental confidence to make the most of this exciting adventure. It would cost around 1500-2000 per person for Nepalese depending upon whether you would take a bus yourself or go in the group. It is a little expensive for foreigners. There is certainly a discount available if you go in group. So make sure you would ask for the discount to the organizing party. If you are large in number, one of you may get free or you may get some cash discount. Techniques in Canyoning : There are several techniques in Canyoning such as sliding, leaning back etc. Some of the common mistakes in Canyoning would be stumbling. Experienced talk What do people who did Canyoning say ? Babins Shrestha, the person in the first picture above, did canyoning at The last Resort. He has experienced the another adventure event bunjee jumping also. He says,"It is a big thriller like Bujny jumping. You must experience once in your lifetime. This one is for the people with light hearted people i.e people who dare to experience bunjy jumping. It takes a bit of courgage but trust me the feeling you get after doing this is out of this world. In bunjy jumping, the thrill is around 2 minutes but for canyoning you gotta have patience and I am talking about a lot of patience until you climb down all the falls to the bottom."
